Not to spoil anyone’s fun, but there are a few rules.....
1. If you get into some trouble and need help, wave your hand above your head and call for help. A lifeguard, police officer, kayaker, or other water staff will happily help you.
2. You may change your distance or division up until 6 PM at the race site on race day. If you decide to change your distance after that time or mid-race - you’ll be ineligible for awards.
3.The race distance/division you start in is the only distance you’ll receive an official finishing time for. For example, if you sign up for the 2.4 miler and decide to stop after the 1st lap and only swim 1.2 - that’s just fine with us - but you won’t be counted in the results for the 1.2 race. Also - If you begin the race in the wetsuit division and decide to finish the race sans-wetsuit, you won’t receive an official time.
4. All 2.4 mile swimmers must complete their first loop within one hour (by 7:45 PM).
